It describes his approach to teaching using empathy, understanding, sharing, and love, which he learned from his father, a guidance counselor. The year is 1984, and the new craze on MTV was break dancing. As assistant director of activities, Robbie saw this as a way to motivate students, and he encouraged kids to practice break dancing before school and during lunch.
